Quiet Noise Barrier Blanket QC-125

Fiberglass and Mass Loaded Vinyl with Double Facing, Fire-Resistant Noise Barrier

The Quiet Blanket QC-125 by Quietco is a premium, dual-purpose industrial soundproofing composite engineered to simultaneously block noise transmission and absorb room reverberation.

Constructed with a dense 1 lb./sq. ft. mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) septum sandwiched between two separate layers of 2″ thick fiberglass batting, this double-faced blanket delivers an exceptional Sound Transmission Class (STC) of 30dB and a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.80.

Encased in a rugged aluminum-vinyl coated fiberglass facing and stitched with heavy-duty polyester thread, the QC-125 is the definitive solution for isolating machinery, constructing acoustic enclosures, and reducing dangerous decibel levels in harsh commercial environments.

Features:

  • Maximum Noise Transmission Loss (STC 30dB): The internal MLV septum creates a dense, impenetrable barrier that dramatically cuts low- and high-frequency noise transfer (up to 47dB at 4000 Hertz).
  • High-Performance Sound Absorption (NRC 0.80): The 2-inch nominal thickness of quilted fiberglass batting traps and dissipates ambient sound waves to eliminate echo and interior clamor.
  • Extreme Environmental Resilience: Engineered for heavy industry, the outer facing natively resists oils, grease, moisture, mild acids, alkalis, dirt, dust, and coastal salt atmospheres.
  • Class 1 Fire Safety Rating: Independently tested per ASTM E84, achieving superior safety ratings with a flame spread of 5.0 and smoke developed of 5.0.
  • Low-Maintenance Washability: The aluminum-vinyl exterior is designed for demanding workspaces and can be quickly steam cleaned or wiped down with common industrial cleaners.
  • Broad Thermal Tolerance: Maintains structural and acoustic integrity in continuous service temperatures ranging from -20° to +180° F, and withstands intermittent spikes up to +265° F.

Applications:

  • Industrial Machinery Enclosures: Wrapping generators, compressors, and heavy manufacturing equipment to protect worker hearing.
  • Construction Site Noise Barriers: Creating perimeter fencing to block heavy equipment noise from escaping into residential zones.
  • HVAC & Mechanical Soundproofing: Lining mechanical rooms, ductwork, and chiller plants to isolate low-frequency vibrations and airborne noise.
  • Facility Acoustic Soundproofing Dividers: Hanging top-to-bottom curtains to separate loud assembly lines from quiet administrative zones.
